Prep's Emergency Procedures Prep follows Montgomery County Public Schools guidelines in emergency situations (this pertains to all Prep Summer Camps). Montgomery County Public School Emergency Procedures Prep Emergency Procedures: Code Blue (1) Limited access to campus. All vehicles to be stopped and screened. (2) Headmaster's Office will make a daily schedule of arrivals and will give it to the guard. (3) All car pools will pick up in front of the filed house. (4) Students are checked as they are dismissed to a car pool driver. (5) Headmaster remains available to implement and revise Crisis Plan as necessary. (6) All boarders must be driven to and from campus activities. (7) All outdoor activities are cancelled. (8) Students and staff will be updated daily or as often as necessary regarding emergency status and procedures. (9) Security will be increased. (10) Faculty members, who are not in class, make themselves available to help. Code Red (1) Total Lock down of campus... no one enters, no one exits. (2) A Prep vehicle blocks school entrance. (3) Security Guard remains in Guard House if appropriate. (4) Students and staff remain inside and wait for instructions. (5) Web site is updated to inform parents of situation and procedures for picking up students, if deemed safe to do so. (6) Receptionist is given written, prepared statements. (7) Headmaster remains in Headmaster's office to implement and revise crisis plan as necessary. (8) Dining services will be prepared to feed faculty, staff and students for a minimum of two days. (9) Faculty members round up students who are in the halls and restrooms and bring them to a classroom. Sheltering in Place (A threat of chemical or biological incident) (1) Code Red applies (2) All students and adults will report to a designated indoor place. (3) No one will be allowed to enter or leave the designated space until the local authorities notify the public that it is safe to go outside. Parents will not be able to pick up their children. It is hoped that parents will be sheltered at home or their workplace.
