About Georgetown Prep.
Georgetown Prep's Speech &
Debate Team

The oldest activity at Georgetown Prep, the forensics team actively
competes in both local and national competitions throughout the
academic year. The team is proud to have had students compete in
quarters, semis, and final rounds at several major national invitational
tournaments including Wake Forest's Early Bird tournament, St. Joe's
University's Villiger Invitational, the GMU Patriot Games, and the
Harvard University Invitational tournament. The team also
qualifies students to compete in the NCFL's Grand National tournament
and the NFL National tournament each year.
All students, experienced and novices, are welcome to join the team.
Practices are coordinated around sports practices to encourage all
interested students to participate in Speech & Debate.
Students interested in joining the team should contact Ms. Stedman or a
member of the Speech & Debate team. |

Forensics League, the National
Forensics League, and the
Mid-Atlantic District of the NFL
