Admissions Difficulty
WHERE
DO YOU FIT? Based on an HONEST assessment of your strengths and weaknesses and what you want in a school… How do you get an honest assessment? Match
your G.P.A. and Standardized Test Scores (SAT I, SAT II and/or ACT) with the
ranges for schools of interest. Think
about whether you want to be at the top, middle or bottom of the heap. We
strongly suggest that you apply to schools in three categories:
Safety (foundation)
Mid-Range (50-50)
Reach If
you do careful research and think reflectively about your options, a general
rule of thumb is to apply to approximately six to eight schools.
There are exceptions… For
most students, there is no need to apply to a dozen schools.
