Learning at Georgetown Prep takes place inside and outside of the classroom. One of our most far-reaching "extended classrooms" has been a series of visits to Vietnam during GP's spring break.
The webs linked below were created by the students and chaparones while on each of the trips. The groups took a laptop and a digital camera with them and transmitted words and images back to Prep, creating a trip diary updated daily with fresh images and thoughts. In 2001, a stereo camera and a digital recorder were added to the technology arsenal; the visitors to the website were treated to the sounds of Vietnam while the trip was still in progress.
